System requirements

OPERATING SYSTEM

  • Microsoft Windows 7 or later (compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows)
  • 256 MB of RAM
  • 75 MB of available hard-disk space
  • VGA or higher resolution monitor; Super VGA recommended

Other system software

None (Note: That’s Rights!/EasyRoyalties installation files include the Microsoft Access 2010 Runtime engine, which is installed automatically along with the application.)

Other application software

Microsoft Office (any version, but 32-bit Office only; not compatible with 64-bit Office).
MS Office is required for the Word Merge and Mail Merge features available with That’s Rights! +EasyRoyalties

Conflicts

Not compatible with Microsoft Office 64-bit. Cannot be installed on systems where Office 64-bit has been installed.

Client/server configuration

That’s Rights! & EasyRoyalties are configured as client/server applications with the database contained in a separate back-end file from the user interface (i.e. the “client”).

The client software is installed separately for each user. In a single-user environment, the database may reside on the same workstation as the client; in a multi-user environment, the database file is located in a common shared area (e.g. on a file server).

Data access is managed by the client’s processor (not the server’s), so no special platform considerations apply to the server where the database is located.

Remote access

As the That’s Rights! / EasyRoyalties database client application must reside on the same LAN as the client applications (i.e. the users), the recommended solution for remote access (e.g. VPN connections, etc.) is via Remote Desktop Access (or equivalent technology) to a terminal server.
